Business Helps Hurricane Damaged Casinos

Journal: "A North Auburn monitor-making business
is positioned to play a major role in helping Biloxi,
Miss., and other gaming centers in the South recover
from Hurricane Katrina.
"Don Whitaker, principal in Ceronix, said
Tuesday that his first thoughts are of concern for
the people who are caught up one of the worst natural
disasters in the nation's history.
"Whitaker added that with the damage to the
gaming industry - much of it along Gulf Coast and
Mississippi River shoreline because of local regulations
banning on-land centers - he expects a spike in
orders for his business' specialized monitors.
"…Monitors have breakable glass touch-screens
and electronics that would corrode quickly in salty,
humid air accompanying Katrina, Whitaker said…"
