Awarded Foxwoods Contract
As reported by the Globe St.:
"The Mashantucket Pequots Tribal Nation
has awarded Perini Building Co. Inc. of Framingham,
MA a $462.8-million contract to construct a
two-million-sf addition to the Foxwoods Resort
Casino here. Earlier this month, the Mashantucket
Pequots formed a partnership with the Paul Steelman
Design Group of Las Vegas to spearhead the casino
expansion project, which has been estimated
to be worth $700 million.
"…The
project will feature a 26-story, 825-room hotel
tower with a 25,000-sf spa, a 4,000-seat theater
and 115,000 sf of meeting and convention space.
"The
new hotel will be the fourth at the Foxwoods
Resort since the resort opened in 1986. When
the hotel is completed, the complex will feature
2,240 rooms…'
