Casino complex owned by listed gaming and hotel
group Sun International and its black empowerment
partners, with the opening set for September
2006.
"At
a sod-turning ceremony held over the weekend,
Hassen Adams, deputy chairperson of the new
casino company, said the investment would do
much to promote the visitor and leisure industry
in the Breede River Valley. The project will
feature a 250-slot machine casino, a conference
centre accommodating up to 120 delegates, a
buffet restaurant, a sports bar with live entertainment
and retail shops, as well as a children's entertainment
area incorporating a nursery and crèche…"
