Costa
Rica Marriott Hosts IGCE
The International Gaming Conference
& Expo (IGCE), to be held April 9th-11th
at the Costa Rica Marriott, a four- star resort
in San Jose, Costa Rica, will feature a keynote
address by the President of one of the leading
public gaming companies in the world. Bill Huntley,
President of Scientific Games, will provide
a state-of-the-industry address, outlining how
Scientific Games views the interactive gaming
market, while considering expansion into sports
to complement their current leadership position
with regards to horse racing.
While
leading international public companies have
been hesitant to date to take the leap into
worldwide interactive gaming, Scientific Games
- a global marketing and technology leader in
the lottery, pari-mutuel, and telecommunications
industries - is initiating a different public
stance, and is choosing the forum of IGCE to
announce and expound upon their plans.
"We're
thrilled to have the head of a notable public
gaming giant such as Scientific Games keynoting
the IGCE," said Christopher Dauer, Director
of Conferences for The Sports Network, the developer
of the IGCE. "This is a globally recognized
organization that has tempered its direct dialogue
with the interactive gaming industry until now,
advantaging IGCE as a forum through which to
explain its own plan while engaging in an anticipated
Q&A exchange with attendees following the
keynote address."
IGCE,
whose major sponsors presently are BetCRIS,
Scientific Games and WSEX, will gather together
gaming attorneys, investors, analysts, legislators,
regulators, marketing firms, advertisers, sportsbook
operators, payment processors, as well as technological
and software firms. The comprehensive IGCE program
will examine online gambling, poker, bingo,
skill games, sports content, horse racing, land-based
competition, gaming platforms, technology, international
legal and regulatory issues, marketing/brand
awareness, payment solutions, Asian and European
markets - the appeal of soccer, cricket, rugby
and other sports, the public desire for mahjong/backgammon/casino
games/virtual horse racing and much more.
