As reported by the Evening Times:
"Former Celtic player Tony Cascarino is
hoping to scoop a fortune at his new career
- playing professional poker.
"And
the big striker, a record signing for the Hoops
back in the 1990s, is backing plans to build
a super casino at Ibrox.
"Cascarino
jetted off to the sun-kissed island of St Kitts
with Scotland's only sponsored poker professional,
Greenock's Tony Chessa.
"...he
became a professional poker player three years
ago and was the outright winner of a mini-series
at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas earlier
this year, netting a five-figure prize.
"The
pair (Cascarino and Chessa) have now been given
£6500 each to take on some of the world's
best players for a pot of $2million in the Caribbean
Poker Classic..."
