Opens Doors
As reported by the Sunderland
Today: "Sunderland's new state-of-the-art
casino is set to throw open its doors –

biggest party the city has ever seen.
"General
manager Phil Tait said he is looking forward
to unveiling the venue to the masses.
"…With
21 gaming tables – nearly triple the number
at Gala's old North Bridge Street venue –
the 28,000 sq ft casino will offer games including
American roulette, blackjack, jackpot stud poker
and brag.
"It
will house 40 slot machines, dropping jackpots
of up to £4,000 a time, and an 'e-lounge'
where gamblers can bet using electronic touchpads.
"Planners
have even taken Wearside's love of football
into account, with a giant suspended glass screen
showing the latest Black Cats' action –
technology never used before in any of the company's
28 UK casinos…"
