Downs Partners with Dubai Racing Club
As reported by Business First:
"Churchill Downs Simulcast Network will
partner with the Dubai Racing Club for a second
time in 2006.
"The
network will be the exclusive North and South
American host of the annual Dubai Carnival of
Racing, according to a news release.
"…Race
dates for the carnival are Jan. 19 and 26; Feb.
2, 9, 10, 16, 23 and 24; and March 2, 9 and
25. The daily first post will be around 10:15
a.m. The final race day, March 25, will feature
the $6 million Dubai World Cup.
"Horseplayers
in the United States wagered about $2.6 million
on Dubai World Cup Day in 2005, and about $3.4
million during the entire Carnival of Racing…"
