Lottery Transfers Money to Schools
As reported by the Silicon
Valley Business Journal: "The California Lottery
has pumped $276 million more into California's public
schools.
"…Lottery games have raised $3.3 billion
in California over the last 20 years, $1.17 billion
of which have gone to support public education.
Beneficiaries include elementary schools, community
colleges, the University of California, the California
State University, adult education, charter schools
and the California Youth Authority."
