Trump
Names New Execs
Trump Entertainment Resorts,
Inc. (NASDAQ NMS:TRMP) (the "Company")
announced today that the Company has continued
to enhance its senior management team by naming
Virginia McDowell to be the Company's Executive
Vice President, Chief Information Officer, and
Paul Keller to be the Company's Executive Vice
President, Design and Construction, effective
October 24, 2005. James B. Perry, the Company's
President and Chief Executive Officer, commented
on the two appointments, "Our core objective
to augment the strength of our current corporate
staff with talented executives from well regarded
casino companies is reinforced with the hiring
of Virginia McDowell and Paul Keller."
Virginia McDowell
joins the Company from Argosy Gaming Company,
serving most recently as Argosy's Senior Vice
President of Operations. James B. Perry commented
further on Virginia McDowell's appointment,
"Virginia is an innovative executive with
broad business acumen. Throughout her career,
she has consistently demonstrated the ability
to provide strategic direction and execute a
wide spectrum of critical organizational growth
initiatives." In addition to her executive
operations role at Argosy, Ms. McDowell has
also served in the capacity of Vice President
of Marketing and Sales for Argosy, assuming
that role in 1997. She was formerly Vice President
of Business Development at Tropicana Casino
and Resort, joining that organization in 1984.
Ms. McDowell graduated from Temple University
with a BA in Communications. Ms. McDowell has
been extremely active in the community and with
charitable endeavors, and currently serves as
the President of the AMC Cancer Research Center
regional office in St. Louis, and has also served
on the boards of the Atlantic Mental Health
Center, the Mayor's Task Force on Atlantic City
Improvements, ARC of Atlantic County and various
other endeavors.
Paul
Keller joins the Company as its Executive Vice
President of Design and Construction. Mr. Keller
most recently served as the Vice President of
Design and Construction of Argosy where he was
employed for the past 12 years. Mr. Perry commented
on Mr. Keller's appointment, "Paul is a
creative and gifted executive whose reputation
for delivering unique entertainment experiences
for customers and value for shareholders have
earned him critical acclaim." Mr. Keller
previously held a leadership role at Walt Disney
Imagineering where he was involved in the Epcot
Center and Tokyo Disneyland projects. Mr. Keller
has a civil engineering degree from Duke University
and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
