Majestic
Star Completes Work on French Lick Casino
The Majestic Star Casino,
LLC ("Majestic Star") and Blue Sky Casino, LLC
("Blue Sky") today announced that Majestic Star
has completed its work on the French Lick Resort
and Casino project being spearheaded by Blue
Sky in French Lick, Indiana. Majestic Star was
involved in the project going back to April,
and since then has made a significant contribution
to the design of the casino and the integration
of the casino into the resort to be developed
by Blue Sky.
Don H. Barden, Majestic Star's Chairman
and Chief Executive Officer stated "the
French Lick Resort and Casino and the West Baden
Hotel, when completed, will be an impressive
destination and should provide a significant
economic boost to the French Lick and West Baden
communities. We have now completed our work
on the project and are confident that Blue Sky
will make the project a complete success."
Steve Ferguson, chairman of the Cook Group
said, "We appreciate the expertise, direction
and substantial work provided to us by Majestic
Star. We are moving the project ahead at a rapid
pace and when complete, French Lick Springs
Resort and Casino will be the Midwest's premier
resort destination."
Ferguson added, "Of course our plans are
still contingent upon our receiving all necessary
approval from the Indiana Gaming Commission."
