American casino operators have picked Croydon
as the ideal location for their first move into
the United Kingdom.
"Colorado-based
Century Casinos is working in partnership with
the Westmead Business Group to incorporate the
proposal into Westmead's Aerodrome Hotel and
Airport House site on Purley Way.
"…The
company says the Aerodrome Hotel has quick and
easy access by both road and rail to central
London and has good links with the UK motorway
network and both Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
"In
addition it claims more than 700,000 people
with disposable income ten per cent higher than
the UK average live within a 20-minute drive
of Purley Way. Average disposable income is
around £16,000 a year…"
