Indiana
Casinos Cut More Jobs

the total number of job cuts to around 500.
"The
workforce reduction was part of the company's
strategy to reduce costs after it bought the
former Trump boat.
"Barry
Morris, general manager of the two Gary casinos,
said cuts occurred in all departments, but workers
at table games were particularly hard hit.
"The
company chose to eliminate 33 table games, going
from 92 to 59.
"…The
actual number of employees who lost their jobs
on Monday was somewhere between 300 and 350,
a spokesperson with Majestic Star said later
in the day.
"…Majestic
will host a job fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday,
March 28, for employees who lost their jobs…"
