Employees Part of Photo Exhibit
MGM Mirage employees will be
celebrated for their contributions to the hospitality
industry as part of "Reflections: A Centennial
Celebration of African American Achievement,"
a photo exhibit on display now at Nevada Partners.
According to
the organizers, "The display is designed
to honor African Americans of the past, present
and future that have been, are now, and will
be leaders, advocates, and pioneers of the Las
Vegas hospitality industry."
Created
to mark the 100th Centennial of Las Vegas, the
exhibit features images and stories about African
Americans who have contributed to the cultural
and economic landscape in Las Vegas.
Several
MGM Mirage employees are featured in the exhibit
including Lorenzo Creighton, President and COO,
New York -- New York; Kevin Carter, Food Server,
Craftsteak, a popular restaurant at MGM Grand;
and Jeff Henderson, Executive Chef, Bellagio.
Following
the premiere at Nevada Partners, the exhibit
will move to several other locations in Las
Vegas to expose the greater community about
diversity in the gaming and hospitality industry.
Locations have yet to be announced.
MGM
Mirage has partnered with Nevada Partners on
various employment initiatives through the Nevada
Partners Culinary Training Academy and is a
sponsor of the exhibit.
