Horse Group Decides Gambling Position
As reported by the Kentucky
Courier-Journal: "The Kentucky Equine Education
Project has decided its position on expanded
gambling legislation. It just hasn't divulged
it.
"But the statewide horse lobby
-- known as KEEP -- plans to announce tomorrow
in Frankfort a 'bold legislative initiative'
aimed at safeguarding Kentucky's horse industry
and generating revenue for the state.

by other state organizations, chambers of commerce
and at least one union, the United Food and
Commercial Workers. The presidents of Churchill
Downs and Turfway Park are also expected to
