Official Clarifies Comments

Daily: "Tehama County Chief Administrator
Bill Goodwin on Tuesday clarified comments that
he made last week during a board of supervisors
meeting about a $750 Rolling Hills Casino donation
to the county.
"At
the beginning of Tuesday's meeting, Goodwin
read from a two-page prepared statement on the
issue. He prefaced his comments by saying that
things he said last week 'were incorrect.'
"At
the Dec. 6 meeting, county resident John Elko
raised a concern about a potential conflict
of interest between the Rolling Hills Casino
and the county. The county has also accepted
hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Paskenta
Band of Nomlaki Indians in the past few years…"
