Herald: "Rick Carter and Terry Green now
own the Grand Casino Gulfport property.
"Their
company, Gulfside Casino Partnership, closed
on the purchase of the property from Harrah's
Entertainment this morning in a ceremony on
the seventh floor of the old Hancock Bank building.
They plan to open a casino inside the Oasis
Hotel by Sept. 1 with 900 slot machines and
about 30 games, but will expand the gambling
space. By Jan. 1, their plans are to have 2,100
slot machines and about 52 table games.
"The
two are scheduled to appear before the Mississippi
Gaming Commission on Thursday to present their
site plan.
"Gulfside
Casino Partnership plans to have a job fair
within the next 60 days to begin hiring employees…"
