GIGSE
Planned for May
The eighth annual Global Interactive
Gaming Summit & Expo (GIGSE) will descend
upon Montreal and the Palais des Congres May
16-18, 2006. Globally known as the main event
for the I-gaming industry, this year's theme
of "No Limits" hits on the industry's
vast potential for growth and acceptance.
In
response to exhibitor and attendee demand, exhibit
hall hours have been extended to give exhibitors
more time to meet and do business with the growing
GIGSE attendance. GIGSE 2005 witnessed a 50%
growth over the 2004 event in terms of total
attendance and exhibition space and 2006 will
be even bigger. The exhibit hall will be open
from 11:30a to 6:30p on Wednesday, May 17 and
open from 12:00p to 5:00p on Thursday, May 18.
The
show will wrap up with the third annual GIGSE
Charity Event, with Gordon House, the provider
of both the GamAid and GamStop programs based
in the United Kingdom, selected as the recipient
of the generous donations to the Silent Auction
and all donations associated with the Charity
Event, as yet to be determined. GIGSE Charity
events have already raised over US $75,000 to
promote responsible gambling charities and practices.
The
historically strong conference program at GIGSE
will highlight the transformation and issues
arising in an ever-changing industry. River
City Group CEO Sue Schneider notes, "Given
the explosive growth in the online gaming industry
and the new markets where it's emerging, we're
anticipating another great year at GIGSE. I
think this will be the largest I-gaming trade
show in the 10 year history of this industry
so both the conference segments and the show
floor should be quite exciting."
The
exhibition portion of GIGSE has already received
commitments from over 48 companies. With the
show a month earlier than last year, exhibitors
and sponsors are literally lining up to secure
their exposure at the most important I-gaming
event of the year.
