Offers Tax Write Off

Herald: "Besides Biloxi's resilient casino
market, gambling companies have another good
reason for investing on the Coast: a big tax
write off.
"After
the House of Representatives completely excluded
gambling companies from the Gulf Opportunity
Act of 2005, a Senate provision pushed through
by Sen. Trent Lott, R-Miss., and Senate Minority
Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., restored the tax
benefits for casino resorts, while still excluding
gambling floors.

incentive for casino companies to invest on
the Coast is contained in the Katrina Emergency
Tax Relief Act of 2005…"
