Lucky
Woman Drives Home in Style
Four lucky tickets were drawn
last night during the "Go Man Go, Car-A-Week"
Give- Away Promotion at Pechanga Resort &
Casino. Excitement grew as the crowd waited
in anticipation to see if each player called
was indeed present. All four were on the stage
in a matter of minutes, and each anxiously awaited
their chance to pick the key that would start
the 2006 Dodge Charger parked outside. The first
and second contestants each tried their keys
to no avail. Then it was down to the ladies,
and the audience was eager to hear the engine
start. A hush came over the crowd as the third
player turned her key…silence. Player
four, Kim Maly of Temecula, knew she was holding
the winning key. "I was overwhelmed and
ready to faint," she said with a flushed
smile. "It's a good thing Gary was right
there, he held me up when I went woozy."
"I
saw her wavering and reached out to steady her,"
said Gary, who happened to be the first contestant
to try his luck at the Charger's ignition. Once
she was firmly seated behind the wheel, Kim
put the key in and fired up the engine. The
spectators clapped and cheered as Kim's husband
joined her in their new high performance car.
