Updates Colts' Perfect Record Odds
As reported by the Press of
Atlantic City: "This is usually the time
of year when Black Friday is much more important
than blackjack and the mall is much busier than
the gambling hall.
For
the first time since offering odds on the Colts
run to a 16-0 record, the odds are no longer
against Indianapolis accomplishing the feat.
The current odds are -115 on both the Colts
going 16-0 and the Colts losing one of their
remaining three regular season games.
Odds
to win the AFC Conference and the Super Bowl
have also improved. Manning and company are
now listed as -300 favorites to make it to the
Super Bowl, an improvement from -280 last week,
and -170 favorites to win it all compared to
-150 before this week's win over Jacksonville.
"This
team is so close to history and the players
are so competitive that I can't see Dungy keeping
them off the field for very long," said
Peter Childs, Sportsbook.com oddsmaker. "They
might rest the stars in the fourth quarter of
games if they have a comfortable lead but you
can't keep Manning off the field in a close
game, especially when you consider the next
two games are against potential playoff opponents.
You just don't want those teams gaining any
confidence against you."
The
Colts host San Diego on Sunday, a team that
will be playing hard to strengthen their post
season hopes. Their trip to Seattle the following
week could be a likely Super Bowl preview as
the Seahawks are running away from the pack
in the NFC and favored to represent the conference
in the Super Bowl.
