Harrah's
Exec Joins NCRG
Harrah's Entertainment, Inc.
today announced Jennifer Shatley, Harrah's director
of Code of Commitment, was appointed to serve
on the National Center For Responsible Gaming
(NCRG) Board of Directors.
"Jennifer
has established herself within the company and
the responsible gaming community as an authority
on effective and progressive initiatives addressing
this important issue," said Jan Jones,
Harrah's senior vice president of communications
and government relations. "Her leadership
and experience will be a tremendous asset to
the NCRG, and we are proud to continue Harrah's
long-standing commitment to the organization
through her active participation."
The
NCRG's Board of Directors' membership is balanced
between representatives of the gaming industry
and leaders from the civic, charitable, educational,
community and public service sectors. The board
is responsible for establishing policy and fundraising
for the organization.
Shatley
joined Harrah's in 1997 and has served as director
of Harrah's Code of Commitment since 2001. She
administers the company's responsible gaming
programs, and is involved with the development
of employee training and information technology
to support Harrah's responsible gaming policy.
Shatley also serves on the advisory board of
the Nevada Council on Problem Gambling.
Shatley
earned a B.A. in English from Christian Brothers
University, an M.S. in Communications from the
University of Tennessee, and attended law school
at Louisiana State University.
