Team Axes Casino Plans
As reported by the BBC:
"Manchester United football club has axed
proposals to build a casino.
"United joined
forces in May with US-based gaming giant Las
Vegas Sands Corp to put forward plans to redevelop
a site adjacent to Old Trafford.
"…But with Blackpool among the favourites
to get the UK's only super casino franchise,
United felt it could be a long time before permission
was given…"
