Coventry
Bid Finds Support
As reported by the icCoventry:
"Labour opposition leader John Mutton has
called on Birmingham and Solihull to back Coventry's
bid to have Britain's first pilot super-casino.
"He
said they should give up their respective plans
for a pilot at the Birmingham City Football
Club and at the National Exhibition Centre.
"He
spoke after Coventry's Tory-run cabinet voted
to officially tell the government the city is
joining the race.
"…Tory
council leader Ken Taylor stopped short of calling
for the two nearest rivals to pull out and is
confident of beating them even if they continue.
"He
is campaigning to get the number of regional
pilots increased again from one to eight and
has written to his party leader David Cameron
asking for support…"
