American
Casino Seeks Job Applicants
The American Casino &
Entertainment Properties -- The Stratosphere
Casino Hotel and Tower, Arizona Charlie's Decatur
and Arizona Charlie's Boulder -- are actively
seeking job applicants among those people displaced
by Hurricane Katrina, announced American Casino
& Entertainment Properties.
"The gaming industries in Mississippi
and New Orleans were especially hard hit by
Hurricane Katrina, and as a result, thousands
of qualified and capable workers were left with
nothing. We want everyone from social service
agencies to displaced workers and their relatives
to know that we have numerous openings in Las
Vegas, and we are always looking to hire dynamic
and energetic people," said Brad McPherson,
vice president of human resources for American
Casino & Entertainment Properties. "The
scope of the disaster is overwhelming, but helping
our peers in the gaming industry to get on their
feet is a good place to focus our efforts."
The American Casino & Entertainment Properties
have openings in virtually all areas of the
gaming/hospitality industry: gaming, hotel operations,
food & beverage, finance, facilities, housekeeping
and many more.
"We realize that there may be challenges
with applicants not having resumes or appropriate
identification or references, but we are flexible
and willing to work to overcome any challenges
that may arise. Our objective is getting good
people into good jobs as soon as possible,"
added McPherson.
The American Casino & Entertainment Properties
Employment Center is located at 2121 Las Vegas
Boulevard South in Las Vegas, Nevada. The center
is directly across the street from the landmark
Stratosphere Tower.
Applications are currently being taken in the
Employment Center from Monday through Thursday
from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. To expedite the process,
applications can also be completed online at
