Awards
Bally Gaming and Systems, a
business unit of Alliance Gaming Corp., announced
today that a prestigious panel of judges in
the 3rd Annual Global Gaming Business Gaming
& Technology Awards selected four winning
Bally entries, including "Best Slot Product"
for its breakthrough S9000 multi-coin, multi-line
reel-spinning machine.
Paul
Tjoumakaris, Senior Vice President of Slot Operations
at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Claudia
Winkler, President of GHI Solutions, and Peter
LaMaccia, Director of the Casino Technology
Department at State University of New York,
Morrisville, judged dozen of entries in three
distinct categories at the Global Gaming Expo
in September and determined Bally had more winning
entries than any other supplier.

Named
"Best Slot Product," the S9000 seamlessly
combines the best features of a video slot with
a mechanical reel-spinning slot into one integrated
and fully operator-configurable platform. With
five back-lit illuminated mechanical reels and
a top-mounted video display, the S9000 operates
on Bally Gaming's vaunted Alpha platform, is
capable of linking to select M9000 Alpha video
titles and supports thousands of existing Bally
S6000 reel-spinning titles.
In
the category of "Best Consumer Service
Technology," Bally received a second-place
award for its Bally System Games(TM) downloadable
technology on the iVIEW(TM) display and a third-place
award for its Bally Power Progressives(TM) bonusing
technology. Additionally, Bally also received
an Honorable Mention for its M9000-32 video
slot in the "Best Slot Product" category.
