to Headline Hurricane Katrina Benefit Concert
Boyd Gaming Corporation's
Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall, located in Tunica,
Mississippi, has announced a special benefit concert
THIS MONDAY featuring country music star Buddy Jewell
to assist with relief efforts in the aftermath of
Hurricane Katrina.
WHEN: Monday, September 12th at 8:00 p.m.
WHERE: The special charity event featuring the
2003 Nashville Star winner will be held in Sam's
Town Casino's River Palace Entertainment Center
in Tunica.
WHY: All proceeds from the concert will benefit
the Central Mississippi Chapter of the American
Red Cross with Sam's Town contributing an initial
casino donation of $15,000 to the relief fund.
HOW: Radio station KIX 106 (WGKX-FM) in Memphis
is spearheading the benefit concert. Tickets for
this special concert started going on sale Friday,
September 2nd for $10.00 plus service charges. Tickets
will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets, phone
centers (901-525-1515) and online at www.ticketmaster.com.
