this week, there are calls for government to better
advertise its treatment program for gambling addiction.

"The revamped entertainment centre at the
racetrack, which has been dubbed a 'racino,' will
increase its number of slot machines from 10 to
225, just in time for Old Home Week.
"The move has anti-gambling advocates such
as Leo Broderick saying the province should put
some of its VLT profits into helping addicts.
"…A P.E.I. government spokesperson says
the province is expecting results from a gambling
study some time in the next few months, and will
await those findings before making any changes to
current policy."
