than a Cape Town man was expecting in 2006.
After losing his job, home and wife, a 47-year-old
Cape Town man was looking at a bleak New Year.
"But
a chance stop at Suncoast Entertainment World
in Durban proved to be rewarding when he hit
the jackpot, winning just over R1-million.
"Isak
Marais from Table View in Cape Town told the
Daily News that he had been unemployed since
November after his company retrenched him.
"…On
Thursday evening, Marais and friends went to
the casino and Marais who hardly ever gambles
decided to spend a R100 on the Sun Struck machine.
And before he knew it, the machine struck gold
giving him a total win of R1 261 911…"
