Taken to Task Over 'Hairy' Incident
As reported by the Malay Mail:
"Several non-governmental organisations
(NGOs) have lambasted the police for the head-shaving
incident involving 11 men caught gambling on
the second day of Chinese New Year.
"Yesterday,
The Malay Mail front-paged a report on the claims
made by the men, aged between 31 and 69, that
they were stripped down to their underwear and
had their heads shaved after they were detained
for playing mahjong at a coffee shop in Taman
Indah, Cheras.

Hakim Kassim had defended the move, saying that
it was a normal practice under the Lock-ups
