Orange County
Casino Developers Hold Public Session
As developers of a new casino
in Orange County plan to break ground next week,
state and federal agencies held a session in Paoli
Wednesday to foster related economic development
efforts.
Representatives from the U.S. Department of Agriculture
and the Indiana Rural Development Council fielded
questions from local residents on economic development
opportunities that may spin off of the casino development.
State Representative Jerry Denbo (D-French Lick)
say more than 100 area residents showed up to find
out what sort of assistance is available. Denbo
says people interested in learning more about development
assistance can contact the USDA office in Indianapolis
or the State Rural Development Council.
