Casino Faces Obstacle
As reported by the CTV
News: "The city is trying to put up a roadblock
to a new native casino.
"The Tsuu T'ina nation has been
given permission to build just south of Glenmore
Trail and west of 37th Street.
"The plan is to use Strathcona road as
an access route to the site.
"…The nation will upgrade it to
allow for more traffic, but the city wants access
to the site to come from the new western leg
of the ring road which would run south from
Sarcee Trail.
"The problem is the province and the Tsuu
T'ina have yet to finalize a deal for the road…"
