City Supports Vote on Casinos

News: "A resolution was approved 5-1-1
Tuesday. Council member Carol Flower abstained
from voting because she is a county employee
and may not vote on certain issues involving
county policies. Council member David Oldham
was opposed.
"'I think
it's over,' Mayor Dee Stuart said of the issue.
'That casino is going to go up somewhere, but
I don't think it's going to be in Park City.
How many times are they going to go to the county
commissioners?' she asked.
"…Stuart
said if Harvey County lures a casino--especially
one located near the county line--Sedgwick County
will experience the resulting crime and traffic…"
