Korea's
Largest Casino Opens
As reported by the Korea Herald:
"High rollers and cautious gamblers alike
can now try their luck at the country's biggest
foreigners-only casino which opened last weekend
in Seoul.
"Not
far from the major hotels near COEX, Samseong-dong,
the sound of clinking gambling chips, the twirl
of the roulette wheel and jingles from row upon
row of slot machines fill the two-story casino.
"At
Seven Luck Casino, you can experience the thrill
of winning or the hollow feeling of losing.
"…This
24-hour, 365-day casino is spacious, but not
too big for it to seem impersonal - there is
enough space for 400 gamers at one time. The
venue has 103 slot machines, 116 video games
and more than 80 tables for baccarat, black
jack, roulette and poker, but serious poker
and blackjack players may be disappointed.
"Most
of the gamers are Asian tourists - during the
week, the clientele are mostly Japanese or Chinese
tourists staying at the nearby hotels for COEX
conventions.
"…The
Grand Leisure Korea Corp. is planning to open
more branches in Korea: the second at the Millennium
Seoul Hilton Hotel in May and the third at the
Busan Lotte Hotel in June…"
