WagerWeb.com Offer Baseball Record Odds
Records are made to be broken,
but the record that Philadelphia Phillies shortstop
Jimmy Rollins is going for is one that many
thought would stand forever. Rollins is 20 games
away from tying the immortal Joe DiMaggio's
56 consecutive game hit streak. Rollins ended
last season hitting safely in 36 straight games,
and if he can get off to a hot start this season,
he, too, could end up in baseball history.
"This
is a record that few people thought would ever
be challenged," Wagerweb.com's Dave Johnson
said. "Rollins has the advantage of having
ended last season on a roll and having all off-season
to rest and work on his hitting. If Rollins
can handle the pressure of chasing one of the
most sacred MLB baseball records in history,
he could have a really good shot at breaking
it."
