Online Betting Site Slammed

company, Philippine Gaming Corp, has been criticised
by the National Collegiate Athletic Association,
in a bid against internet betting. The NCAA are
opposed to the website, basketballjackpot.net, where
punters can bet on basketball games run by the NCAA
and other college leagues.
“This is something we will not tolerate,”
says NCAA Management Committee Chair, Vic Calvo.
A meeting will take place later this week between
Calvo and other school heads with the same opinion.
They plan to write a letter of protest to PAGCOR,
owner of basketballjackpot.net.
'Anybody in grade school can access the website,
and we can’t allow that,' Calvo commented.
