Voters heading to the polls next week will be asked to decide if the state should open its doors to casino gambling. In 1990, Ohioans defeated a proposal to allow a casino in Lorain. In 1996, voters struck down a plan to build riverboat casinos in Cuyahoga, Lorain, Mahoning and Hamilton counties.
