WASHINGTON (AP) - A federal appeals court has issued a stay preventing a proposed tribal casino in Allegan County from moving forward. The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals issued the order Friday pending a potential review from the U.S. Supreme Court.

Those involved in the back-and-forth battle over the fate of the Seneca's Buffalo Creek Casino may be one step closer to a decision. Federal Judge William Skretny has cancelled a hearing scheduled for this Thursday and now says he'll rule by August 26th.
