Groups backing sick days for workers and a gambling casino for Clinton County handed in their petitions Tuesday to place the issues on the November ballot.

Erie County has lost a court battle over the use of about $5.5 million in annual gambling revenue. Judge Michael E. Dunlavey ruled Monday that the restricted funds from Presque Isle Downs & Casino must be distributed for expenses directly related to the operation of the casino.
