Using a credit card reminds me of gambling in Las Vegas. When you walk through the casinos, people are shrieking as their slot machines pay off or they get a lucky roll at the crap table. You may see the occasional blackjack player sitting in front of a stack of chips representing winning bets. You think to yourself, "If they can play and win, so can I."

Several in running to acquire Tropicana, conservator says Visitors play card games at the Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City. The Baltimore-based Cordish Co. is among several bidders for the casino, which lost its gambling license in December and was turned over to a New Jersey-appointed conservator, who is trying to sell the still-operating property.
