DETROIT - Greektown Casino has filed for bankruptcy protection, but says its gambling operations in Detroit and ongoing expansion project that includes a permanent hotel won't be disrupted.

Dakota leaders in southwest Manitoba have decided to set their own course on gambling, saying they're fed up with the slow progress of casino plans in the hands of the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs.
