Blackpool Formally Submits Application
As reported by the North West Enquirer: "Blackpool's campaign to win the UK's only super-casino licence moved ahead another stage this week with the submission of a formal planning applic-ation to the council."It is hoped that outline planning consent will be secured for the development by the end of November 2006, before the government's Casino Advisory Panel (CAP) makes its final decision in December. "Campaigners believe planning consent would help demonstrate the willingness of Blackpool Council to support the casino bid. A site with planning approval could also be developed sooner rather than later if Blackpool wins the special gaming licence…"
