SkyCity to Go Head-On With Sports Bars
As reported by Stuff: "SkyCity Hamilton is taking a $2 million punt that a major new sports bar will help pull more customers into the Riverside casino and entertainment complex on Victoria St.
"Final decisions on other revamps, to cost about $1 million, are expected within a few months.
"...SkyCity Hamilton general manager David Christian said yesterday that the bar's construction, scheduled to start toward the end of next month, would cost about $2 million.
"...While gaming ads might feature in the new bar, Mr Christian said these would not be 'heavy'.
"...Other changes include the current buffet restaurant near the casino becoming a table service restaurant and yet-to-be-decided alterations to an upstairs deck area..."
